Networking during a pandemic
If you are looking to widen your circle of acquaintances, find new career opportunities, or simply increase knowledge and awareness of trends in science and technology, networking is key.
A global and diverse network
As COVID-19 prevents mass gatherings, close interactions, and international travels, traditional networking has met a few strains. Luckily, networking is not off the agenda for the CTBT Young Professionals Network – it has increased activity on online platforms instead.
Thanks to the Internet and modern technology, it is possible to stay in touch and forge new relationships with other young scientists and technical professionals working on monitoring and verification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). With more than 50 scientists and technical professionals from 27 different countries, the CTBT Young Professionals Network is genuinely global and diverse. The YPN web portal offers a unique chance to network with people from different scientific backgrounds and verification technologies. Through the YPN web portal, members can for instance connect, exchange ideas, develop joint projects, and share thoughts with the community.
