Fast machine-learning-based prediction tool of infrasound with Edouard Forestier

On 4 May 2022, YPN member Edouard Forestier held a YPN Science & Tech Talk about his background, previous work, and fast machine-learning-based prediction tool of infrasound attenuation. Watch the video here!

"I am a student at ENSTA Paris (an engineering school in France) and currently in a gap year. I worked at the CEA (France) for 6 months on the subject "Medicanes surveillance: potential tsunamis and infrasound tracing of intense cyclones in the Mediterranean sea". I am now working at NORSAR (Norway) for 5 months (until the end of July), and my current internship project is "Cost-effective prediction method of transmission loss", which aims to predict infrasound transmission loss at long distances using machine learning tools."
