This day highlights the significant role of science for peace, development, and sustainable societies. It also promotes international solidarity for shared science between countries. 

The CTBT Young Professionals Network (YPN) is full of amazing scientists and technical professionals who through their work on monitoring and verification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty contribute to creating a safer nuclear-weapons-free world.
